El Paso Animal Services holds a free drive-thru pet wellness clinic this weekend

El Paso Animal Services will offer free pet vaccinations and microchips to hundreds of pets via a drive-thru pet wellness clinic on Sunday.

The event will take place at 301 George Perry Boulevard from 8 am to 11 am

The free event is first-come, first-served and limited to the first 500 pets.

Pets must remain in the vehicle; all dogs must be on a leash and cats must be placed in a secure carrier while visiting the drive-thru clinic.

Dogs will receive a parvo/distemper vaccination, while cats will receive a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (FVRCP) vaccination, both will also be given a microchip.

Pets must be six weeks old or older to receive vaccines. No other pet vaccinations will be available at this drive-thru event.

This will be our third Pet Wellness Clinic of the year aimed towards protecting community pets from dangerous diseases like Distemper and Parvo that are endemic to our region,” said Terry Kebschull, El Paso Animal Services Director. “We are excited to continue our partnership with Petco Love in providing this free resource and we strongly urge the community to take advantage of this opportunity.

The event is sponsored by Petco Love.
